Description:

The goal of this course is to teach the concepts and fundamentals of multimedia development. This is a technical course where we focus on developing application expertise and design skills. Students will examine the fundamental concepts of electronic media, user interaction/integration and project management, in an effort to understand how multimedia technology can enhance the communicative process.

We will explore how text, motion, sound, interaction and layout work to help users understand information. Throughout the course students will be offered an overview of the following applications:

By the end of class students will be able to create their own interactive presentations using these software packages. Also, students will understand the creative development life cycle and how designers and developers use this approach their work.
