90-915, Fundamentals of Social Network Methods

Description:
This course introduces the basic concepts and methods that underlie the field of social network analysis. Topics to be covered include: graph theory, centrality, cliques, structural equivalence, role (generalized) equivalence, hypothesis testing with QAP models, and compound relations. Each topic will be accompanied by homework that will give the participants hands-on experience analyzing data and answering empirical questions.
