Lectures and Presentations

The Heinz School recognizes that learning happens in many different settings, not just in the classroom. Therefore, we support a number of lecture series, forums and other activities.

Convocation brings distinguished public servants making a difference in society to campus to engage in dialogue about pressing policy issues. This year's topics include social security for the next generation, economic and community development in the 21st century, and preservation and conservation of historical sites. Additional information about convocations are available on our website.

The Heinz School also hosts various speakers to address current issues of interest to our students. Some examples of on-campus seminars include these presentations:

  • Pittsburgh Riverlife Task Force's Public Information and Input Session
  • Destination Pittsburgh - A Look at Cultural Tourism
  • Hiking the Horizontal
