Building your Carnegie Mellon network starts here! Students enrolling in a part-time, on-campus program should attend the mandatory orientation scheduled during the week prior to the start of classes. The On Campus Orientation Schedule is below.
Exchange Students and all other Full Time program students
Building your Carnegie Mellon network starts here! Students enrolling in an exchange or other full time program should attend the mandatory orientation scheduled during the week prior to the start of classes. The On Campus Orientation Schedule is below. Please note: you are required to attend from 5:00pm - 7:00pm only.
On-Campus orientation is your opportunity to learn best practices and tips for your time as a student at the Heinz College and to meet and interact with other students beginning the program. You will meet staff and administrators that you will interact with throughout your time in our program.
On Campus Orientation Schedule:
New Student orientation will be held in Hamburg Hall, (check in on the first floor as you enter the building).
Parking is free and available directly across Forbes Ave in the Morewood Parking Lot. (This lot is free Mon- Fri from 4:30pm on)

Distance MSIT Student Orientation
Orientation is designed to help you become familiar with the university resources and other information relevant to your program of study and status as a part-time, distance student. Students enrolling in the Distance MSIT Program will be required to take part in an Online Orientation Webinar. Please plan to take part in this online orientation to ensure you are prepared for the start of your program.
If you would prefer to attend the on-campus orientation, you are welcome to join us! Please contact the admissions office in advance at hnzadmit@andrew.cmu.edu
