Heinz School Black Alumni Association
Mission
The Heinz School Black Alumni Association (HSBAA) supports the Heinz School and its alumni association's intent to preserve and promote the school's legacy of diversity. The HSBAA works to be an inclusive association of alumni, students, friends, faculty and staff who are interested in the diversity initiatives of the Heinz School. HSBAA has organized to assure that the school's legacy serves as inspiration for a continued commitment to prepare African American, Hispanic American and Native American professionals for leadership in policymaking in the public, private and independent sectors.
HSBAA has three primary intents:
- Support the school's recruitment and retention of students of under-represented ethnic groups;
- Increase the financial support of the school among graduates/former students of color;
- Be a network of support for graduates/former students of color, and serve as a voice within the school for the interests of current students and alumni.
