'The Carnegie Mellon Advantage'

When you combine our high standards of admission with our highly competitive degrees, it is easy to understand why our graduates become sought-after individuals offering unique, immediate and measurable benefits to future employers. I believe ‘The Carnegie Mellon Advantage’ is what makes our graduates competent, confident and competitive.

- Executive Director and Distinguished Professor Terry Buss.

A Global University

Our faculty, staff and students are culturally diverse. This tangible difference means our students can immediately benefit from wide-reaching networks of contemporaries and global experts - in a safe and welcoming environment.

High Admissions Standards

Because our focus is on quality, we keep our admission standards high - retaining the integrity that comes with earning a degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

Highly Qualified Faculty

We boast one of the most highly qualified faculties in the world, most having extensive careers not only in teaching, but also in basic and applied research and organisational management. We accomplish this with a core faculty onsite, and through video conferencing and faculty rotation from our Pittsburgh and Washington, DC, campuses to Adelaide (we do not offer web-based courses).

High Calibre Programs

As our demanding degree programs are of the highest calibre, our competent graduates realise their full potential as confident managers and not simply highly competitive technicians.

Customised Degrees

We empower students to customise their degrees by choosing from a wide variety of course electives offered in a range of formats - encouraging students to add multiple skills and capabilities to their already potent qualifications.

Innovative Curriculum

By design, our innovative course curriculum provides a firm foundation in theory, with a focus on practical skills that will advance IT skills, management practice, policy and decision-making. Students also benefit from taking part in seminars and Information System Synthesis Projects.

Real World Experience

Our fusion of curriculum and our programs’ required projects including internships and Capstone Projects conducted with non-profits, private companies and government agencies, allows extensive hands-on learning whilst yielding measurable benefits for our community and corporate partners.

Personalised Service

With a careful eye on student to faculty ratios, students receive personalised attention from our experts. Our campus size allows us to know each student personally, and our program’s flexibility allows us to cater to their individual needs and personal requirements.
