MSPPM Curriculum

Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSPPM) - One-year Track

The MSPPM one-year track program is available to students with significant professional experience, providing them the opportunity to tailor courses to meet their career requirements and specialisations.

The MSPPM one-year track requires 168 units:

  • 144 units of core courses
  • 12 units of elective courses
  • 12 unit capstone project (Information System Synthesis Project)

Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSPPM) - Two-year Track

The MSPPM two-year track program is available to students with less than three years professional experience. Through the two-year track program students undertake an internship with public and private companies, and government agencies, providing them with practical experience in public policy and management.

The MSPPM two-year track requires 198 units:

  • 144 units of core courses
  • 42 units of elective courses
  • 12 unit capstone project (Information System Synthesis Project)
  • One full-semester internship

Students have the opportunity to study one semester at Carnegie Mellon University’s Pittsburgh campus, and may also participate in programs at the Washington, DC campus, through the University Exchange Program.
