Capstone Projects
Carnegie Mellon University is a global leader in applied learning.
Our students undertake extensive practical experience in the field of information technology, public policy and management through Capstone Projects (Information System Projects and System Synthesis Projects), internships and convocations, providing them with a competitive career advantage.
The Capstone Projects take students beyond theory into the practical application of skills through the opportunity to work with public and private companies, and government agencies on real-world projects. The goal of these projects is to provide students with the skills necessary for structuring, managing, and carrying out projects within an organisation.
Students have undertaken a variety of projects to date, contirbuting more than 20,000 hours of pro bono work annually to the local community, valued at more than $1 million.
