Process Analysis and Improvement
This course is designed to guide the student in understanding the theory and the application of process analysis and improvement tools and methods. Through readings, group discussions and practical exercises, the student will have the opportunity to:
Analyze key work processes and identify opportunities to improve processing outcomes and efficiency
Identify key customers and how to exceed their wants, needs and expectations
Collect, analyze and display process performance data using appropriate process improvement methods, tools, and statistical process control techniques
Identify opportunities to redesign work in a way that achieves 'break-through' levels of performance.
The course provides students with a comprehensive experience that will enable them to effectively manage process analysis and improvement initiatives. Process analysis and improvement tools including the use of applied statistics are reviewed and practiced.
