Risk Analysis

Units: 12

We will present and discuss tools to be used to define, analyze and
manage/mitigate risk in for-profit life sciences ventures. Elements of
risk will be presented in the context of life science ventures drawn
from various stages of a company’s lifecycle; from start up through
commercial. Case work will include technologies and companies operating
in a number of different life sciences business verticals (therapeutics,
diagnostics, devices, etc.). Students will be expected to evaluate and
manage risk from a number of different perspectives including an
investor, member of management and entrepreneur.
