Human Resources Management
This course will focus on the management of human resources. The introduction will focus on alternative perspectives underlying human resource management. Specific topics to be covered include motivation, satisfaction and productivity; U.S. Civil Rights Acts and U.S. Supreme Court decisions (precedent cases); performance appraisal; compensation; hiring, turnover and restructuring; career development; personnel databases and a look at human resources management in Japan. This course's purpose is to develop skills and perspectives in the management of human resources.
