Copyright

Copyright in Australia is governed by the Copyright Act 1968. International treaties also apply. It is very important that faculty, staff and students understand the expectations in relation to copyright and ensure they seek the appropriate advice for teaching, study and research.

Copyrighted materials are consistently being used and created within Carnegie Mellon University Australia. The University and every member of its community has legislative compliance obligations relating to copyright. Breaching these federal laws will incur individual and institutional penalties. This is reinforced by the University's Copyright Policy and Australian Copyright laws.
