Students in Free Enterprise

The Heinz College SIFE committee engages in projects that improve lives, strengthen communities and develop socially responsible business leaders.	The Next Meeting is scheduled for

President - Aditi Varma

Aditi was working on monitoring and evaluation of community development programs before joining Carnegie Mellon University. Engaging with SIFE has given her the opportunity to hone her skills in program development. She is interested in developing an active SIFE team with a broad portfolio of projects.
 

Secretary - Priyanka Bhatt

Priyanka has had a wide and exciting experience in the field of Public Relations working for various sectors ranging from banking to retail. In her spare time she is a presenter at various corporate launches and programs. Being involved with organisations like Rotary has exposed her to social work and its benefits. For her, SIFE will open up new doors and also bring learning opportunities outside of the classroom.
 

Treasurer - Pavan Kumar Koppolu

Pavan was helping an IT firm analyse complex systems before joining Carnegie Mellon University. Engaging with SIFE has given him an opportunity to connect technology with social service and help build better and efficient programs to serve the society. At SIFE, he is learning to improve his skills in marrying technology with social programs.
 

Advisor - Riaz Esmailzadeh (Associate Professor of Management and Technology)

Riaz is interested in socio-economic development projects and involvement in SIFE enables him to participate in such projects. Riaz is passionate about SIFE as these projects enable students to realise their potential in creating a better world. Interacting with other SIFE teams has been a great learning experience both for students and the advisor.
