Student Support Services

Carnegie Mellon University - Australia offers students a range of integrated support services to ensure their individual needs and requirements are catered for. Services cover pre-departure to Australia, orientation upon arrival, academic and career services, IT services, student welfare services and extra-curricular activities.
 

Getting Started

  • Three-week Orientation Program welcoming you to Carnegie Mellon University - Australia and Adelaide. Orientation includes tours of Adelaide City and South Australia surroundings as well as comprehensive information on:

    • Student Visa conditions
    • Welfare and wellbeing
    • Academic requirements
  • Allocation of a Carnegie Mellon University Australia ‘Student Host’ to provide you with informal support and first-hand experience in studying with us

 

Academic Services

  • One-on-one course planning with the Director of Programs who will guide your academic progress throughout the duration of your study
  • Allocation of a Faculty Advisor to ensure your degree suits your academic and career goals
  • Access to Teaching Assistants (TAs) who provide additional academic assistance
  • Option to undertake one semester of study at Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh or University of Bocconi, Rome Italy through the Heinz College Exchange Program
  • Opportunity to undertake internships
