Professional Experience

Dr. Overfield is an Organizational Development & Training Specialist with Miles Inc. in Pittsburgh. In this position, she develops, directs and conducts training workshops on topics such as leadership, cross culture, team development and communications. In addition, she serves as an internal consultant on team effectiveness, change management and organizational development.

Formerly, Dr. Overfield managed the word processing center, as well as served as internal consultant on office automation systems, procedures and applications for McGraw Edison Power Systems Headquarters.

Community/Public Impact

Dr. Overfield keeps actively involved in professional organizations through membership, speaking at national conferences, and publishing in journals and magazines. She is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, National Society for Performance and Instruction, National Organizational Development Network and Society for Human Resource Management. Her involvement in the Pittsburgh area includes membership on the Board of Directors of Auberle.

Education

Dr. Overfield received her bachelor's degree from Carnegie Mellon and her master's degree and doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh.
