Public Service Fair - Student Registration This is a mini internship fair that will allow you to connect with local nonprofit and government employers that are seeking part-time interns/volunteers for the fall and spring semesters. Most of these employers will qualify for the Federal Community Work Service (FCWS) program, which permits you to work 150 hours per academic semester and earn $10/hr. Please note that you must have an FCWS award as part of your financial aid package to qualify for program. Washington Colloquium & Reception: STUDENT Registration The Washington Colloquium is a series of five panels designed to introduce students to a variety of Washington, DC industries. The day begins with breakfast and registration followed by panels featuring legislative offices, NGO's, social consulting firms, federal agencies, and a lunch panel on environmental careers. Network New York Carnegie Mellon's annual Network New York brings those seeking employment in the Greater Metropolitan New York region together with alumni and employers during an after-work reception. Attracting graduating seniors, current master's students, and alumni from across all Carnegie Mellon programs, it represents an efficient and cost-effective opportunity to meet prospective full-time employees and interns. New York Colloquium The New York Colloquium is a series of four panels -- two each for careers in information management and policy management -- designed to introduce students to four different New York industries. The Colloquium begins with breakfast and registration and then proceeds to panels featuring consulting, finance, planning/economic development and nonprofit research/advocacy. The event includes a buffet lunch, concludes at 2pm, and is followed by a 3pm site visit to a NYC firm. .gov: Next Generation Government Career Fair The seventh annual Pittsburgh Federal Career Day -- renamed this year as ".gov" -- will feature 75+ federal, state, and local governmental agencies, and is intended for students and alumni interested in public service careers. The event is free, open to students from across the Western Pennsylvania region, and is organized by a consortium of the professional schools at Carnegie Mellon, Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh. This year's fair is hosted by the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh.
