Seminar in Criminal Justice

Units: 12

This seminar is intended to provide an introduction to a number of key issues in criminal justice relating to crime and punishment. It is also intended to introduce students to basic data and research methods for analysis of key policy issues related to crime and to the operation of the criminal justice system. We want students to become familiar with research issues related to crime and the CJS. To do that, we will have students report on a paper in this area and then be responsible for preparing their own research paper building on some of the issues identified in the paper they report on.
