Master of Information Systems Management - Business Intelligence and Data Analytics (MISM-BIDA)
The Master of Information Systems Management (MISM) degree with a Business Intelligence and Data Analytics (BIDA) concentration is developing an elite set of graduates cross-trained in business process analysis and skilled in predictive modeling, GIS mapping, analytical reporting, segmentation analysis, and data visualization.
Organizations across the world are struggling to develop the know-how to aggregate, analyze, and most importantly monetize the growing surge of available data. Current discussions with banking, healthcare, retail, and government entities point to a severe shortage of individuals that have the combined business, analytics, IT, and communications skills required to be leaders in this field. The School of Information Systems and Management at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College is perfectly positioned to educate these leaders and provide them with a unique ability to analyze data and effectively communicate the gathered business intelligence.
Master of Science in Public Policy and Management - Data Analytics (MSPPM-Data Analytics)
The Heinz College Master of Science in Public Policy and Management degree program's Data Analytics track (MSPPM-Data Analytics) provides the skills you need to turn raw data into solutions for the most complex public issues.
Government agencies, large non-profit organizations, think tanks, and consulting firms all deal with enormous amounts of data in their attempts to provide better transportation networks, national defense programs, cleaner environments, public education policies, international development programs, development of natural resources, and other public goods.
Through our MSPPM-Data Analytics track, Heinz College will take your STEM undergraduate degree and/or quantitative and analytic capabilities and provide you with a state-of-art analytics education. In addition, the MSPPM-Data Analytics will add professional policy and management knowledge and skills, preparing you to transform data into insightful information for use in public policy and management decision-making.

Through our MSIT-BIDA track, you will be able to gain a state-of-art analytics education. As a MSIT-BIDA student you will be taking courses such as Exploring and Visualizing Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence, Advanced Business Analytics, and Data Mining, amongst others.
