Established by Marco Delgado MS 1990, this fund strengthens diversity recruiting efforts with a particular emphasis on attracting talented Hispanic students.

Johnson-Oliver Diversity Scholarship

This scholarship supports the school’s efforts to pursue an increasingly diverse student body and provides minority students with scholarships and stipends.

PPIA Summer Fellows Program

This program encourages undergraduate minority students to pursue careers in the public interest.

Changing Urban Neighborhoods

“After participating in the PPIA Junior Summer Institute, I realized that I wanted to do economic development work because I felt that it offered me the opportunity to have an impact in the world and on the issues I care about.”

Everett Henderson, MS 2004, studied mechanical engineering as an undergraduate. The PPIA program led him to the Heinz School where he gained hands on experience in economic development first as a Lauble Fellow at the Urban Redevelopment Authority and then as project manager of a systems synthesis course working with the community of Lawrenceville. Everett currently works at the Urban Institute, an economic and social policy research organization.
