Social Innovation Solutions Challenge

Announcing the 2012 Social Innovation Solutions Challenge. This challenge is a competition for graduate students at Carnegie Mellon who are interested in applying social innovations to some of the world’s biggest problems relating to basic human needs. Sponsored by the Institute for Social Innovation and Project Olympus, this competition will feature five teams competing for cash prizes.

You are required to attend the briefing session in Hamburg Hall 1000 (auditorium) on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, from noon to 1:30pm (lunch will be provided). The competition will run from Jan 26-Jan 31; the presentations, judging, and awards will occur in the Gates Hillman Center 6115 on Tuesday, Jan 31, from 12-2pm.

Sign up deadline is Tuesday, Jan. 24, midnight. You must apply individually. Teams will be assigned to ensure interdisciplinary interaction. Teams will be announced at the briefing session on Thursday.
