General Motors Information Session

General Motors plans to hire 10,000+ computer workers at four technology innovation centers across the country. Our strategy is to reach the top talent found at Carnegie Mellon University. These are going to be the best jobs in the IT industry over the next five years since GM is on a transformation journey. You could will work on everything from emerging technologies, to design of vehicles, to high touch for the consumer, to what is offered in our vehicles. GM wants to bring 90% of its IT work back in house to direct new developments and reduce the overlap of current services. GM has already hired more than 700 IT workers to staff innovation centers in Austin, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia and Warren, Michigan. A fourth site, of similar scale, will be announced later this year. Spencer Searle, Enterprise Telecommunications Information Technology Manager (MISM 2012) will be running the Information Session
