Admissions 

Students may begin the program in August, January or May. Intensive summer classes are also available with a July start for students who wish to take accelerated daytime classes in July and August. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Candidates are encouraged to submit applications as early as possible and usually receive a decision concerning admission within 2 - 4 weeks of submitting a complete application. To guarantee that your application can be reviewed in time for a particular enrollment date, please apply by the application deadline indicated below.

Prerequisites for applying to the certificate program:

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;
• A master’s degree from an accredited college of university;
• Demonstrated leadership potential and professional competence;
• The ability and potential to make effective use of their university training;
• Previous foundational courses in finances, economics, data analysis, writing and speaking;
• Additional prerequisites for those seeking Principal’s Certification in Pennsylvania: must be a K-12 Certified teacher in Pennsylvania to apply. Must have worked as a teacher for 5 years before state certification is possible.

A complete application packet will include the following:

• A completed online application;
• Three letters of recommendation;
• Official transcripts of all college-level course work;
• Essay (may be submitted with online application);
• Educational Leadership essay;
• Resume (may be submitted with online application).
