
Writer/director Mark Christopher's debut feature film, 54, starred Ryan Phillippe, Mike Myers, Mark Ruffalo and Salma Hayek. Christopher's festival comedy hit Pizza (IFC/InDigEnt) won a 2007 Independent Spirit Award and can be seen on IFC.
In addition to directing and writing for the big screen, Christopher has created and is executive producing a new series for ITV/OWN called "Real Life: The Musical" premiering later this year. In the scripted TV world, he has written one-hour comedy and drama pilots for CBS, Spelling and Logo/MTV. And he is creating his first web series with Vuguru/Yahoo called "The Echo Parkers."
Christopher's award-winning short films have been screened at all major international film festivals, including Sundance, Toronto, New York and Berlin. They are theatrically distributed by Strand Releasing, Frameline, Saltzgeber Intl, and the BFI. Christopher’s latest short, Heartland is being distributed by Strand Releasing as part of Boys Life VI.
Christopher teaches Creative Producing at Carnegie Mellon's MEIM center and digital filmmaking and cinema studies at Columbia University.
