Scholarships and Fellowships for MSBTM Students

A separate application is not necessary for consideration for the following Heinz College scholarships and fellowships. MSBTM students who indicate in the application for admission that they want to be considered for financial aid are automatically considered for any applicable scholarship opportunities.

Students who are eligible for more than one scholarship from Heinz College may not be entitled to the minimum award for the second scholarship.

 

Merit-Based Scholarships

MSBTM Program Scholarships: 

These merit-based scholarships are awarded to exceptional students joining the MSBTM program.

 Pittsburgh Regional Leaders Scholarships: 

Heinz College offers a limited number of Regional Leaders Scholarships to incoming full- and part-time students who have demonstrated a commitment to the Pittsburgh community. Applicants interested in the Regional Leaders Scholarships are required to have one of their three letters of recommendation written by someone who can testify to the applicant's commitment to and impact on the Pittsburgh community.

 

Partnership-Based Scholarships

 Heinz College Strategic Partners Scholarship

The Heinz College has partnered with the following organizations to provide financial support to their members in order to help reduce the cost of attending graduate school. Admitted students who are affiliated with one or more of the following organizations are eligible for a scholarship from the Heinz College as a result of that affiliation (may be awarded as an MSBTM Program Scholarship).

To be considered, applicants should indicate their experience/involvement with one or more of the following organizations on the Application for Admission. The Heinz College awards a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester to eligible students enrolling on a full-time basis. Students enrolling on a part-time basis will be reviewed on an individual basis. Please note that students who are eligible for more than one of our scholarships with a guaranteed minimum may not be entitled to the minimum award amount for the second scholarship.

Regional and National Education Partners Scholarships

Regional Partners Alumni Scholarships

Incoming master's students who have completed their bachelor's degree at a regional education partner of the Heinz College are awarded an RPA scholarship. The Heinz College awards a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester to eligible students enrolling on a full-time basis. Students who have graduated from Grove City College or Washington and Jefferson College prior to enrolling at Heinz College are eligible for this award (may be awarded as an MSBTM Program Scholarship).

National Education Partners Alumni Scholarships

Incoming master's students who have completed their bachelor's degree at a regional education partner of the Heinz College are awarded an RPA scholarship. The Heinz College awards a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester to eligible students enrolling on a full-time basis. Students who have graduated from Brigham Young University or the University of Nebraska at Lincoln prior to enrolling at Heinz College are eligible for this award (may be awarded as an MSBTM Program Scholarship).

 

General Heinz College Scholarship Information

Students who are eligible for more than one scholarship from Heinz College may not be entitled to the minimum award for the second scholarship. Typically, scholarships or scholarship percentages offered by Heinz College are renewable for subsequent semesters of enrollment however; any scholarship or fellowship offered may be reduced or rescinded for any of the following reasons:

 * Changing the academic program of study

 * A difference in the number of enrolled units originally used to calculate eligibility

 * Extending the normal program length

 * Deferment of offer of admission

 * Failure to make satisfactory academic progress

 * Financial aid overaward**

 **Total /scholarship/ from all sources generally may not exceed thecost of tuition and fees. Total /financial aid/ from all sources may not exceed the total cost of attendance.
