Our Mission
The International Development Group (IDG) at Carnegie Mellon's Heinz College seeks to raise awareness and participation in International Development issues through a public policy perspective. In that character, the IDG will:
- Promote activities and events to increase the awareness of the economic, social, cultural, and political situation in other parts of the world from a public policy perspective -- both at the Heinz School of Public Policy, and Carnegie Mellon University.
- Help, as needed and possible, the Heinz School Admissions Office in the recruitment of international students, especially from underrepresented countries.
- Provide a friendly support network for international students at Heinz College.
- Establish professional relationships between IDG members and alumni working in the International Development field in the USA and abroad.
