Welcome Center for Immigrants and Internationals (WCII)

IDG collaborates with WCII to help Immigrants and Internationals transition to living in the United States. IDG members provide written and oral translation services for WCII. The translation services help WCII's clients to acquire housing and employment. In addition, IDG is designing a new multi-language interactive website for WCII so that the Welcome Center can improve its communication with clients and donors.

ProjectEDUCATE (PE)

ProjectEDUCATE is a non-profit organization that provides learning materials to children in Zambia. IDG is running a book drive from December 2007 to January 2008 at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). IDG is working with the Bookstore at CMU to transfer books that are not part of they “buy-back” program into materials for PE. As well, IDG members are providing graphic design services for informational materials and handouts for PE .

The World Affairs Council (WAC)

IDG is developing community outreach programs with WAC in which IDG members discuss their experiences living abroad. The broad diversity of IDG includes people with backgrounds from around the globe. In addition, IDG will be co-sponsoring public speaking engagements and international affairs seminars with WAC.
