Master of Science in Biotechnology and Management (MSBTM)

From developing new food sources and researching life-saving drugs to cleaning up environmental toxins, biotechnology companies are transforming the way we look at human health and the environment.

A study by Mardis, Aibel and Associates, LLC, a biotechnology consulting firm, determined that there is a 20% annual growth rate difference in market value between public biotechnology companies that make greater use of best management practices and those that do not.

To ensure the success of these companies, a new breed of manager, with a solid grasp of the complex science that underlies the business of biotechnology, must now emerge.

To bring these leaders forward, Carnegie Mellon University offers the first Master of Science degree in Biotechnology and Management (MSBTM).
