Master of Science in Information Security Policy and Management (MSISPM)
In today's evolving, networked world, companies in a wide array of industries rely on information assurance managers to keep them secure. As a security expert holding the Carnegie Mellon MSISPM degree, you'll emerge as a leader in the global marketplace.
Unlike colleges offering information security programs from an engineering or computer science perspective, you'll learn practical strategies and tactics with both policy and management components. This 4-semester masters degree emphasizes the policy, management, and technology aspects of information security and risk management.
As a worldwide information systems trendsetter, Heinz College houses this premier program in information security enhanced by our close associations with the prominent CERT Coordination Center® and CyLab.
Heinz Recognized as a Center of Excellence
Designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE), Heinz plays a vital role in policy, risk management, privacy and Information Assurance. Jointly sponsored by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security, the CAEIAE designation recognizes our dedication to Information Assurance Education. The MSISPM program is aimed at reducing the vulnerabilities faced by our national information infrastructure by producing more qualified graduates in the various disciplines of Information Assurance.
