MSPPM Scholarships 

For the following scholarship opportunities, no separate application is necessary. Students who note in the application for admission that they would like to be considered for financial aid will be automatically considered for any applicable scholarship opportunity. Please note, students that are eligible for more than one of our scholarships with a guaranteed minimum will not have the minimum amount awarded in the second scholarship.

W.W. Cooper Scholarships

The W.W. Cooper Scholarships are merit scholarships established in honor of the school's first dean. This scholarship is awarded to outstanding applicants to the MSPPM program.

MSPPM Scholarships

These merit scholarships are awarded to exceptional students joining the MSPPM program.

Alumni Scholarships

These merit scholarships are awarded to MSPPM students based on public interest work experience.

Coro Scholarships

Coro Fellows admitted to the MSPPM program are guaranteed a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester - most receive more. To be considered, applicants should indicate Coro experience on the application for admission.

Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) Scholarships

RPCVs admitted to the MSPPM program are guaranteed a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester - most receive more. To be considered, applicants should indicate RPCV status on the application for admission and should include a copy of the certificate of service in the application packet.

AmeriCorps Scholarships

AmeriCorps alumni admitted to the MSPPM program are guaranteed a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester - most receive more. To be considered, applicants should indicate AmeriCorps experience on the application for admission.

Heinz City Year Scholarships

The Heinz School awards a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester to eligible students who are City Year alumni entering the MSPPM program. To be considered, applicants should indicate their City Year experience on the Application for Admission.

Heinz School Lutheran Volunteer Corps Scholarships

The Heinz School awards a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester to eligible students who have served as a member of the Lutheran Volunteer Corps and are entering the MSPPM program. To be considered, applicants should indicate Lutheran Volunteer Corps experience on the Application for Admission.

Heinz School Jesuit Volunteers International Scholarships

The Heinz School awards a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester to eligible students who have served as a member of the Jesuit Volunteers International organization and are entering the MSPPM program. To be considered, applicants should indicate Jesuit Volunteers International experience on the Application for Admission..

Teach for America Scholarships

Teach for America Alumni admitted to the MSPPM program are guaranteed a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester - most receive more. To be considered, applicants should indicate Teach for America status on the application and should include a copy of the certificate of service in the application packet.

Pittsburgh Regional Leaders Scholarships

The Heinz School offers a limited number of Regional Leaders Scholarships to incoming full- and part-time students who have demonstrated a commitment to the Pittsburgh community.

Applicants interested in the Regional Leaders Scholarships are required to have one of their three letters of recommendation written by someone who can testify to the applicant's commitment to and impact on the Pittsburgh community.

Fulbright Scholarships

The Heinz School awards a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester - most receive more - to eligible Fulbright Fellows entering the MSPPM program. More information on the Fulbright Fellowship program can be found on the program website.

Heinz School Truman Scholarships

The Heinz School awards a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester - most receive more - to eligible students entering the MSPPM program who are finalists in the Harry S. Truman Scholarship competition. To be considered, applicants should indicate their participation in this program on their Application for Admission.

Congressional Hunger Center (CHC) Scholarships

Current CHC fellows and alumni admitted to the MSPPM program are guaranteed a scholarship of at least $6,000 per semester. To be considered, applicants should indicate completion of either of the CHC Fellowship programs on the application for admission.

West Point Candidates Scholarships

West Point active duty officers admitted to the MSPPM program will be provided with a scholarship equal to 55% of the then-current tuition each semester.  The remaining expenses (45% of tuition, all fees, textbooks and other required course materials, accommodation, meals, travel and other personal expenses are the responsibility of the applicable West Point Candidate and/or West Point.
