Rescuing the U.S. from Fiscal Crisis

On Friday 10 June leading expert on U.S. budget debt and deficit Professor Steve Redburn presented at the HC Coombs Policy Forum at the Australian National University (ANU).
Professor Redburn is Project Director for the Peterson-Pew National Commission on Budget Reform, Project Director at the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University – Australia.
During his seminar titled ‘Rescuing the United States from Fiscal Crisis’, Professor Redburn discussed options the U.S. could pursue to return itself to fiscal solvency, the ‘pain’ and ‘gain’ involved in this process, and how politics of the current standoff in the U.S. in Congress and the Obama Administration could affect these issues.

Professor Redburn was in Australia teaching a CMU-A Advanced Education Program (AEP) course titled ‘Performance Management in the Public Sector’.
