Heinz School Student Organizations

One of the hallmarks of the Heinz School is the degree to which our students participate in organizations that shape many aspects of the school's environment. Students are given a voice to influence both their academic and social opportunities through the Program Committees, the Dean's Advisory Committee and the Student Activities Council.

The Program Committees oversee the Heinz School 's academic programs. They consider such issues as petitions by students to waive or modify program requirements and they make recommendations to the dean and faculty about the program and its students. The Program Committees consist of faculty members, associate deans, directors of Heinz School programs, and first- and second-year students elected by their respective classes. These committees meets periodically each semester.

The Dean's Advisory Committee provides the dean and other administrators with input on student issues and concerns. The elected student representatives who serve on the Program Committees also serve on the Dean's Advisory Committee and act as liaisons with the school's administrators.

The following is a list of student organizations or publications and links to their websites if available.
