Dining

Pittsburgh has a great deal of culinary variety and is, therefore, a great place for folks who like a good meal. The city has a wealth of excellent restaurants to choose from in all price categories. From the classic Pittsburgh sandwich at Primanti Bros. and the famous fish sandwich at Armand's, to O-fries with the perfect wiener at the Original Hot Dog Shop and pierogies at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern, you will find many choices to tempt your palate. Pittsburgh also has strong ethnic communities, which contribute to our dining diversity.

When you don't feel like leaving campus, you can take advantage of the facilities available through Carnegie Mellon Dining Services. But when you want to go out, you have a lot of excellent choices. We can't possibly tell you about all of the good places to eat, so instead we've compiled a list of some good dining guides that should help you find just the right restaurant depending on your location and mood!
