CIOI - IT Management

As we enter the information age, an increasing number of organizations are finding that their policies, infrastructure, and operations are obstacles in efforts to maintain quality, reliability and stay competitive. Business and technology cycle times are shortening. IT operations must be responsive to shifting, increasingly agile, business initiatives. Flexible access to systems and data raises information management, privacy and security challenges. And IT operations are being challenged by third-party service providers. IT leaders must be capable of adopting new technologies while maintaining stability in existing operations. Today’s IT leaders are relying more heavily on technology to better organize and improve their operations, infrastructure management, knowledge management, and privacy and security. This course demonstrates the integration and use of software in infrastructure management to streamline operation’s, boost productivity and develop and achieve strategic planning goals.

Participants will:

  • Learn how to evaluate, measure, and communicate the business value of IT in terms of the products/services it enables within an organization.
  • Create an enterprise-wide sourcing strategy.
  • Learn methods for structuring the IT organization.
  • Evaluate and demonstrate models for IT performance assessments.
  • Learn methods for improving knowledge management across an organization.
  • Demonstrate the value of establishing periodic and timely reviews, and reporting milestones, related to IT performance.
  • Discuss privacy and security concerns applicable to CIOs.
