Admissions for Ph.D. Programs at Heinz College
Our intensive doctoral program seeks students with demonstrated academic ability and those who possess a commitment to interdisciplinary research on significant public policy, management and information technology issues. Each entering class is small; a typical cohort is 6 to 8 students.

The deadline for submitting applications is December 15 for the PhD in Statistics and Public Policy and the PhD in Machine Learning and Public Policy.
The application deadline is January 10 for the PhD in Public Policy and Management, PhD in Information Systems and Management, and all other joint degree programs.
Prospective students interested in any of the joint PhD degree programs are required to submit only one application for admission. Applicants are encouraged to submit their application for admission to the department which houses their primary area of interest (meeting all of the requirements for applying for admission to that specific department).
