MSISPM Admissions Requirements
The Admission Process
With an MSISPM degree from Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College, you'll be among the best and brightest in the infosec arena. While other schools deliver an engineering approach to information security and information assurance, our focus is from a public policy and management perspective. You'll be ready to offer organizations an ample supply of fresh and new ideas to keep them safe.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for students with a passion for information security and its intelligent application. Many of our incoming student’s have relevant IT and infosec work or college experience. They are all interested in curricular and meta curricular learning opportunities.
Our classes are small and diverse. You'll attend classes with students from a variety of constituencies: private corporations, military and government agencies, and undergraduate universities. These students include information systems specialists, corporate managers, junior and senior military staff and a wide range of government employees.
For more information on our student body, including demographics and test scores, view the class profile.
