The mission of the Master of Science in Information Security Policy & Management Program (ISPM) is to prepare the next generation of Information Assurance Leaders. The program is unique in its emphasis on the policy, management, and technology aspects of information security and risk management.
Students in the MSISPM program should be able to:
- Combine policy, management, and technical skills to assess information security risks and understand the technical, organizational, and human factors associated with these risks;
- Illustrate the information assurance lifecycle including planning, acquisition, development, and evolution of secure infrastructures; and
- Function effectively in dynamic and unstructured environments.
We achieve this mission through:
- Focusing on the interdisciplinary skills required to address the complex security and regulatory environment facing businesses and government;
- Partnering with organizations to identify new ways for our students to gain experience with leaders in the Information Assurance field; and
- Building and sustaining a culture that prizes entrepreneurship and innovation in information assurance and risk management.
