MSIT - Software Engineering Management

As worldwide dependence on software grows, the demand for informed and experienced managers grows.

Carnegie Mellon, the premier university in IT Management, has responded to this need with its Master of Science in Information Technology, Software Engineering Management (MSIT-SEM) degree. A collaborative effort from Heinz College, School of Computer Science, and the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), the MSIT-SEM offers a multi-disciplinary view of software engineering that gives managers a unique edge in today's complex digital marketplace.

The MSIT-SEM track is more technically challenging than its counterpart programs and has a more extensive project practicum. The MSIT-SEM track is newly introduced for Fall 2008.

To apply, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and have at least five years of work experience in a management position or in an information technology/software development position.
