MSBTM Course Requirements
To earn the MSBTM degree, you'll need to:
- Begin the program in the Fall semester (late August).
- Complete a total of 198 units with a cumulative QPA of 3.0.
- Complete the core curriculum in:
- General Policy and Management
- Biotechnology Industry
- Biotechnology Science
- Undertake an internship in the summer between the first and second years.
- Satisfy the elective course distribution requirement: Electives must include a minimum of 12 units from each school and a maximum of 12 units from the Tepper School. Tepper, Heinz and MCS electives must be approved by the MSBTM Program Director.

Fall Semester Upper Level Biology or Chemistry Lab - Immunology |
Spring Semester Policy and Politics in American Institutions |
*Elective Course Distribution: Tepper, Heinz and MCS electives must be approved by the Program Director. Distribution must include a minimum of 12 units from each school and a maximum of 12 units from the Tepper School. Suggested electives include:
