Carefully designed to meet the needs and professional responsibilities of school administrators in the greater Pittsburgh region, the MPM-K12 and Principal Certification curriculum will allow educators to bridge the professional gap between their current roles of instruction to their new position of campus leader by promoting and advancing the understanding and application of the complex roles that administration, management, analysis and decision sciences play within the larger, collective responsibilities of the K12 principal. Both degree and certificate program students must complete a minimum of 60 units of approved concentration coursework from the available curriculum. Typically students will complete 54 units of coursework and 6 units of a supervised internship experiences. The PDE requires 360 hours for an approved internship experience.
