Borden to Represent Pittsburgh at Poetry Slam
Matthew Borden has been selected to be on the Pittsburgh Poetry Slam Team and will participate in the National Finals, to be held in Chicago this summer. Poetry slam is the competitive art of performance poetry. It puts a dual emphasis on writing and performance, encouraging poets to focus on what they're saying and how they're saying it. The National Poetry Slam has emerged as slam's highest-profile showcase.
Borden is currently a student in the Master of Science in Public Policy and Management at the Heinz School and a Coro Fellow.
