Heinz Alumnus Appointed Ministry Secretary in India

Prodipto Ghosh, who received his doctoral degree in Economcs and Policy Analysis from the Heinz School in 1991, has been appointed Secretary of the Ministry of Environment & Forests of the Indian Federal Government.

Ghosh has previously worked in the Office of the Prime Minister of India, the Department of Economic Affairs in the Indian federal government, the Asian Development Bank and at Tata Energy Research Institute.

Ghosh is the author of over forty publications, peer-reviewed research papers and several books.
