Heinz School Alumnus Running for Pittsburgh Mayor's Office

Heinz School alumnus Michael Lamb MPM 1998 officially announced his candidacy for Pittsburgh mayor on Monday, January 10, 2005. He is the first candidate to enter the race for the Democractic nomination for mayor in the May 17th primary.

Lamb holds a law degree from Duquesne University and a bachelor's degree from Penn State University. He was a City Council aide from 1988 to 1991 and deputy prothonotary from 1992 through late 2000.
