MPM Alumnus Slaughter Receives Doctoral Degree

Howard B. Slaughter, MPM 1995, received a Doctor of Science in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University at a commencement ceremony on May 6, 2006.

As director of the Fannie Mae Community Business Center in Pittsburgh, Slaughter oversees a $2 billion investment plan. He notes "My Heinz School experience is in part why I have been successful in my pursuit of other educational achievements such as my recent Doctor of Science degree."

Slaughter was one of five African Americans earning a doctoral degree this year from Robert Morris University - the largest number ever for the school.
