Second Annual Technology in the Arts Conference

The Center for Arts Management and Technology (CAMT), a division of the Institute for the Management of Creative Enterprises at the HeinzTechnlogy in the Arts School, welcomed nearly 200 artists and arts managers from all over the world to the second annual Technology in the Arts conference at Carnegie Mellon on Oct. 11-13, 2007.

The conference is a meeting place for the national arts community to discuss technology's impact on arts management. Guest panelists and lecturers provided insight into how their organizations are using technology to streamline arts funding, planning and programming. The lineup of sessions and hands-on workshops included information on:

  • Interactive Marketing with Web 2.0
  • Copyright in the Digital Era
  • Online Campaign Management
  • Social Networking
  • Web Site Usability Testing

In addition, the conference feature two outstanding keynote speakers – Jake Barton, principal and founder of Local Projects, and former Carnegie Mellon research fellow Nathan Martin, now the chief executive officer of deepLocal.
