Heinz School Announces the Inaugural Suresh Konda Memorial Lecture

The Heinz School is pleased to announce the inaugural lecture for the Suresh Konda MS 1975, PhD 1980 Memorial Lecture in Information Security Policy and Management.

Ryan has worked with the National Security Agency since 1984. He is currently assigned to the NSA’s Threat Operations Center (NTOC) in order to develop real-time global network awareness and threat characterization. The NTOC’s vision is to forecast, support interdiction, alert on and attribute malicious activity in order to support, enable, and perform computer network operations.

The Suresh Konda Memorial Lecture in Information Security Policy and Management honors one of the world’s pioneering researchers in information security. Suresh’s classmates, colleagues and friends contributed to create the memorial lecture. The lecture will provide the Carnegie Mellon community with the opportunity to discuss pressing issues in the field where Suresh focused his innovative research. The Suresh Konda Memorial Lecture honors the lasting contributions he made to information security and will help to foster new dialogues in the field.
