Security for Social Networks
The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) has released a report on Security Issues and Recommendations for Online Social Networks. Carnegie Mellon contributors include Alessandro Acquisti, Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Public Policy, and Ralph Gross, INI doctoral student. Their work with on information sharing and privacy on Facebook is cited.
Acquisti is also a member of Cylab, the Usable Privacy and Security Lab, and the Privacy Technology Center, all at Carnegie Mellon. His research interests lie at the overlap of information technology, society, and economics. He has received national and international awards, including the 2005 PET Award for Outstanding Research in Privacy Enhancing Technologies and the 2005 IBM Best Academic Privacy Faculty Award.
