Commencement 2008
The 2008 graduates of the Heinz School received their diplomas at a ceremony conducted by Dean Mark G. Wessel on Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2008.
Students presented a special tribute in memory of MSPPM student Humberto Escalante II. Award recipients included: Jessica Brazier, the Otto A. Davis Award; Sarah Amador, the Barbara Jenkins Service Award; Abigail Fudor and Domenic Ionta, Teaching Assistant Awards; Jackie Speedy and Tina Jacobs, Staff Excellence Award; Harold Miller, the Martcia Wade Teaching Award.
William Perkins, graduate of the MSPPM program, delivered the student speech. George Duncan, Professor of Statistics, gave the keynote address and Harold Miller delivered the charge to the students.
At the university wide ceremony on Sunday morning our students were inspired by Randy Pausch and Al Gore.
