Keynote Speaker: The Emergence of Public Interest Technology

Krista Kinnard (MSPPM-DA ’17) is Director at the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence in the Technology Transformation Services within the General Services Administration.  During this session, Krista will highlight her journey from Heinz student to IBM consultant, and her current work with the Technology Transformation Services at GSA.  She will also discuss the future of public interest technology and actionable next steps for Heinz students interested in Federal service and public interest tech.

President Management Fellowship Information Session

Do not miss this session if you want to apply to the prestigious PMF Program! You will hear from our guest speaker Ida Dalessandro-Felix, Presidential Management Fellows Director of Training and Leadership Development at the Office of Personnel Management.  Ida will speak on the PMF application process as well as new changes and additions to the 2021 application. The 2021 PMF application window is September 30th through October 14th.

USAJOBS and Federal Resumes Workshop

Are you planning on applying to jobs or internships with the Federal Government? If yes, then this session is just for you. Tami Ivosevic, the Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Federal Executive Board, will be hosting the session. Topics include demystifying the USAJOBS portal, outlining GS pay scales, and providing an overview of federal resumes.

During this session, our very recent alumni will detail their journey from Heinz College student to public servant.  Learn about the best ways to identify relevant Federal opportunities, helpful tips about the application and interview process, and insider information about what it’s really like to work for a Federal agency.  Additionally, network with our alumni and learn about the cool projects they are currently working on.
