LaToya Robinson

Over her 15 years at Booz Allen Hamilton, she has led the development and deployment of multiple knowledge management and case management systems for several government clients. She currently leads one of the firm’s most technically and programmatically complex projects within the National Agencies Account where she is responsible for leading a software team in the development of an enterprise-wide knowledge management system for her client. Additionally, she is responsible for strategic planning efforts, requirements management, budget and scheduling, and resource management. Her years of professional experience and proficiency in technical and programmatic elements has proven valuable to her clients, and she is highly trusted (and often requested by name) by senior-level Firm executives. Due to her exceptional leadership and technical acumen, she has received numerous awards including, but not limited to: 2022 Black Engineer of the Year Technology Rising Star Award, 2020 and 2014 Women of Color in STEM Technology All-Star Award, Booz Allen Client Problem Solving Initiative Award (2021), and multiple Booz Allen Performance and Team Awards. Prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Ms. Robinson spent almost 3 years at Lockheed Martin as a Systems Engineer. She has served as a career advisor for several junior and intermediate staff.

Ms. Robinson’s focus on STEM is not solely focused on her activities at work – she is an active
volunteer with the Northern Virginia Section of the National Council of Negro Women (NOVA NCNW) where she currently serves on the Executive Board as the Communications and Website Chair. In this role she is responsible for improving and maintaining the section’s online web and social media presence, leading technology discussions and training, preparing, and executing budgets, and ensuring that NOVA NCNW solutions maintain a solid security posture. She meets monthly with the Officers of the Nova NCNW Executive Board to discuss upcoming initiatives and technical or communication needs. 

Ms. Robinson is deeply committed to education and this is evidenced by her additional community engagement. She served as an Adjunct Instructor of Computer Science for Independence University where she taught multiple classes of computer science ranging from introduction-to-intermediate-to-advanced (including such concepts as inheritance, encapsulation, polymorphism, classes, and iteration). She also served as an instructor for the Fairfax County Public School Adult and Community Education (FCPAA ACE) program where she instructed in the areas of Personal Computer Basics & Concepts of Programming.

Ms. Robinson has always been a strong, passionate performer. She graduated Magna Cum
Laude from Alabama A&M University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (minor in Mathematics). During her time there she interned at the National Aeronautical and Space Administration Marshall Space Flight Center (NASA MSFC), Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, General Dynamics, and the U.S. Space and Missile Defense Command. After graduation, she moved to the Washington, DC metro area where she went on to achieve her Masters in Management from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC). She also holds an ICAgile Professional Certification from the International Consortium for Agile and a Strategic Human Resources Leadership certification from Cornell University.
