Dustin Updyke

Dustin Updyke is a Senior Engineer and AI Team Lead at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute (CERT), where he builds applied AI, modeling and simulation, and cyber mission systems. He leads cross-functional teams supporting government and defense stakeholders, bringing a practitioner’s perspective grounded in innovation leadership, open-source development, and large-scale system delivery. He holds an MS in Logic, Computation, and Methodology from Carnegie Mellon University.
